Leadership Model

A solid leadership model is the best tool that you can have in your arsenal before going before your staff members and implementing a winning strategy for sales and efficiency success. There are certain key attributes to a solid and successful leadership model that you should make sure are present before you take it before your staff. The worst thing you can do is backtrack and change direction, so getting at least the main structure, direction, and goal right the first time is essential.

·         What are your main goals for your team right now? What do they most need to focus on in order to fix any recent mistakes or move forward? Identify these clearly at the outset.

·         What are the first necessary steps to take toward achieving these goals? Are they specific actions like setting up schedules or re-assigning tasks or is it more along the lines of focusing or attitude adjustment?

·         Create a reward system that is incremental and facilitates competition. A little competition will not turn any member of the team against the other, but it does serve to motivate some toward effective performance. Offering everyone a chance to win a reward and making each reward successively larger or more impressive than the last will help keep that motivation level high.

Develop a communication strategy that will introduce, implement, and adjust your leadership model. If members of your staff know that their opinions and experiences working within your model will be listened to and honored, then they will be more apt to get involved, speak their mind, and do their best work. Valuing each member of the team is an element that can never be too highly stressed.
